I'm currently on a quest for the World's Greatest Beer. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
It was a blast Thursday night. So many folks came out or just happened to stop in to receive a treat. @smittoxbrewing Short Order Porter release at the brewery and back in stores for a consecutive year. I guess I’m more leaning toward porter style than a stout if I had to choose. The collective coffee cup and $10.00 wristbands gave you 4 pours of anything on tap. The SOP is like drinking a smooth coffee infused hot chocolate. You could pour one up in a cup and sip it on a relaxing Saturday morning. Please note it will get you toasted ☺️Vixen had to sleep some of that off Friday morning as I hydrated to get my mind right. Shoutout to @smittoxbrewing @islandtoislandbrewery @17percentdrip for laughs discussing the upcoming beer stops & events. My neighbor @tok3nduck with sneak peek and pours. That was really fun.
Beer to Go and Labor of Love September 1 st was a celebration all over Texas. We celebrated with poppin ’ tops and getting growlers filled to the top. OMG! We partied and people lined up at their favorite brewery to get beer. The reason why we celebrated was due to signing a bill into law that would allow small brewpubs and breweries alike to manufacture and sell beer to go up to one case per customer a day. The Texas House got it right for once. YAY! A lot of people didn’t understand why we were so excited, but previously breweries couldn’t sell beer to-go in cans, growlers, etc. The smaller craft beer distributers were feeling the sting in comparison to the big industry giants having fair game at the market. Texas was the only state that had this law on the books. That’s what I love about going to another state . W hen I f ind that a wonderful beer I c an at least bring a tallboy home to share with my friends. We always have bottle shares and had to sad
The Undeniable Vixen’s Birthday Behavior This weekend was amazing and it was action packed to say the least. I’m so glad I have Monday off to recoup. Now, I know I flooded your timelines about my event but it was well worth it. I appreciate everyone that showed up to support. On August 24 th W omen with Beer Connections had it s inaugural event at Craft and Growler. The concept was to bring women collectively to learn, enjoy and experience craft beer in a bottle share setting. We had women who never had a craft beer , novice craft beer drinkers, experienced kick-ass boss drinker, and wherever you fall into that spectrum. My goal was to open a safe space to have the majority of women sitting together and seeing more women than men at a share. I love shares. I truly do. Especially after I went to my first one I was hooked, but then I looked around the room. I didn’t see myself in the same number let along people of color. Being the true introvert that I am, I
